Youth Health Advocacy and Empowerment Program (YHAEP)
The programs major focus is on adolescent and youth’s sexual reproductive health and rights with an overall goal of ensuring availability and scaled up access and utilization of youth friendly health services and comprehensive sexuality education.
The programs highlights out the need to address various SRHR issues of adolescents and young people majorly adolescent girls. The major issues addressed under YHAEP include;
- -Comprehensive sexuality education
- -Youth friendly health services
- -Contraceptives and family planning
- -Menstruation hygiene and management
- -Maternal New born and Child Health
The program also aims at promoting evidence based youth led advocacy and accountability for increased investment and prioritization of adolescent health and well-being. Under this segment of the program, young people capacities are built in and equipped with knowledge in policy advocacy and accountability.
